The Minister of Justice, Cllr. N. Oswald Tweh, is admonishing active security personnel to remain focused and dedicated to their duties while encouraging retired security personnel to remain patient as the government intensifies efforts to improve their welfare and conditions.

Justice Minister Tweh acknowledged the vital role security forces play in maintaining peace and stability; stressing that their service remains indispensable to national development.

"I urge all our gallant men and women, both serving and retired, to remain committed and refrain from actions that may undermine the very institutions they helped build," the Minister stated. "The government is actively reviewing several policy frameworks aimed at improving remuneration, healthcare, housing, and pension schemes for our security forces."

Minister Tweh then assured stakeholders that a comprehensive reform agenda is underway, including the modernization of training facilities, improved equipment, and a streamlined benefits disbursement system.

The Attorney General of Liberia spoke on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the 31st Anniversary of the Liberia National Law Enforcement Association (LINLEA) at the YMCA on Crown Hill, Monrovia.

The event was attended by top-ranking officials from the Ministry of National Defence, Liberia National Police, Liberia Immigration Service, Liberia National Fire Service, Executive Protection and civil society organizations.
